Pitmaster Scotty Masters grew up in Butcher Shops in the Newcastle region, firstly on the sawdust-covered floors of his grandfather’s shop, and then the shop managed by his father, Geoff, on the infamous Hunter St, you could say Scott has been excited by meat his entire life, even when at 4 years of age, he got locked in the cool room for an hour, but that’s a story for another day.
